Credits and open-source licenses
ExcaliClaw is built on the work of many open-source projects and people. This page credits them and explains the licenses that apply.
Where ExcaliClaw comes from
ExcaliClaw started as a fork of ExcaliDash by Zimeng Xiong, a self-hosted dashboard and organizer for Excalidraw. Since then it has been substantially rebuilt: a serverless architecture on Cloudflare Workers and Appwrite, a new landing site, a hosted MCP server, billing and a new interface. Thanks to Zimeng Xiong and to the ExcaliDash contributors: Zimeng Xiong, Adrian Acala, OhYee, BoxBoxJason, Davi Fernandes Rezende, Davidutz_, Jyotirmoy Bandyopadhyaya (Bravo68).
License
ExcaliDash is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 (LGPL-3.0), and ExcaliClaw, as a modified version of it, is distributed under the same license. Source code: github.com/mounirb-dev/ExcaliClaw.
The editor: Excalidraw
The drawing editor is built on the open-source Excalidraw library (MIT License) and uses its Excalifont typeface. ExcaliClaw is not an official Excalidraw product and is not endorsed by it.
